Albanian/English OPI/VRI Remote Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Ensure all messages are rendered accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretation of messages.

• Apply established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Security Clearance (if you do not currently possess this, assistance will be provided to obtain it).

• Must be a citizen or hold a Green Card.

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Albanian".

• Minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a well-known interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
