This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The ASO will be responsible for carrying out all designated preflight, flight, and post-flight tasks necessary for the safe and efficient operation of an assigned sensor suite supporting various missions.
• Responsibilities include mission planning, pre-briefings, inspection of mission systems, operation, troubleshooting, post-flight inspections, debriefings, preparation and distribution of intelligence products, and documentation related to missions.
• The ASO may also aid in performing upgrades and maintenance on sensors.
• Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and possess at least 2 years of experience or 700 flight hours as an aircrew member on a multi-place military or government ISR contract aircraft, with verified experience in providing direct support to SOF ground forces utilizing E/O-IR FMV sensors (additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree).
• An active Top Secret clearance with SCI is required.
• A current FAA Class II/III Medical Certificate issued within 6 months of the employment start date is necessary.
• Applicants must have a valid United States Passport that remains valid for 12 months post employment start date and must be able to travel internationally.
• Current physiological training / altitude chamber completion or prior completion with proof is required.
• Excellent CRM skills are essential, along with the ability to apply ORM principles.
• Willingness to deploy for rotations of up to 90 days to various CONUS or OCONUS operating locations as directed by the Government is expected.
• Demonstrable experience in interpretation and analysis using E/O-IR FMV sensors is required, along with the ability to produce post-mission products using the Microsoft Office suite.
• Candidates must be capable of successfully executing airborne missions / flight operations and image analysis.
• Ability to travel to various CONUS locations for training is essential.
• Willingness to work extended hours and/or non-regular hours with minimal notice is necessary.
• Proficiency in operating assigned sensors while airborne for prolonged periods is required.
• Willingness to conduct airborne missions in challenging and hazardous locations is necessary.
• Previous experience with internal aircraft, air-to-air, and air-to-ground communications is required.
