AI Video Pipeline Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop modular, configuration-based workflows that encompass scripts, hooks, avatars or LoRAs, voices, music, UI assets, and aspect ratios.

• Integrate the fal Queue API for managing jobs, rate limits, webhooks, and retries.

• Ensure runs are resumable to avoid incurring duplicate generation costs due to failures.

• Retrieve and cache UI assets efficiently.

• Utilize FFmpeg for assembling clips, adding subtitles and CTAs, synchronizing talking-head audio, and mixing sound.

• Create video advertisements in 9:16 and 1:1 aspect ratios.

• Document the pipeline and provide configuration examples that allow the marketing team to utilize workflows without needing to write code.

• Oversee SDK architecture, public API, releases, and partner experience from start to finish.

• Develop a high-quality consumer application for a mobile-gaming loyalty platform.

• Collaborate with AI-video creative specialists and marketing personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with generative AI, fal.ai, and ComfyUI, demonstrated through workflows or applications you have developed.

• Proficient in Python or TypeScript.

• Experience in automating workflows, integrating APIs, and managing asynchronous processing, background jobs, and errors.

• Capability to create modular, configuration-driven pipelines that produce multiple variations.

• Familiarity with integrating image, video, text-to-speech, and talking-head models.

• Hands-on experience with FFmpeg, including clip assembly, UI overlays, subtitles, audio mixing, and aspect-ratio formatting.

• Ability to implement dependable job orchestration, retries, resumable execution, and cost tracking mechanisms.

• Produce clear, maintainable code and documentation.

• Proficient in English communication and able to collaborate effectively with AI-video creative specialists.

• A working pipeline or application to showcase, including a description of your technical contributions.

• Experience with Seedance, MiniMax, Kling, or similar video-generation models is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Stable Diffusion, LoRA training, or assessing character consistency is a plus.

• Experience in creating internal applications for creative teams or scaling automated video production is beneficial.

• Knowledge of paid mobile user acquisition creatives, including CTR, CPI, or ROAS is advantageous.

• Experience with agent-driven or AI-assisted video editing is a plus.
