
AI Technical SME – Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Engaging in AI Solution Engineering: Conceptualize, create, and implement AI-driven solutions and prototypes within critical systems.
• Integrate AI into various workflows, including:
• Enhancing developer productivity (code generation, testing, refactoring).
• Automating operations (AIOps, anomaly detection).
• Providing data-driven insights and decision-making support.
• Construct and embed AI services within cloud-native (Azure) and hybrid architectures.
• Create reusable frameworks, accelerators, and reference implementations.
• Design scalable, secure AI/ML solutions utilizing Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions, Data Services).
• Lead modernization initiatives for legacy and hybrid systems (ASP, VBScript, COBOL → cloud-native patterns).
• Serve as an AI coach and mentor for multiple engineering teams.
• Facilitate training sessions, hands-on workshops, office hours, and advisory meetings.
• Evaluate application portfolios to pinpoint AI integration opportunities, automation potential, and strategies for reducing technical debt.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, or platform engineering.
• Practical knowledge in: Cloud platforms (preferably Azure), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Strong programming skills across various languages and frameworks.
• Experience in integrating or implementing AI/ML solutions within enterprise settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work with both modern and legacy systems.
