AI Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical authority for AI projects, steering architectural choices, implementation, and the advancement of solutions.

• Guide developers by fostering best practices, performing solution assessments, and aiding the technical development of the team.

• Design and refine architectures for AI-driven solutions, which encompass LLMs, agents, RAG, integrations, asynchronous processing, and caching.

• Oversee AI in production: lead the technical aspects of the delivery, operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancement of AI solutions in live environments.

• Develop and improve pipelines, automation, and engineering methodologies for the creation, assessment, deployment, and monitoring of AI applications.

• Establish technical standards regarding code quality, security, observability, documentation, and the maintainability of solutions.

• Assess AI tools, frameworks, and methodologies to recommend optimal technical paths suitable for the company’s context.

• Collaborate with Product, Data, Security, and other teams to ensure the technical feasibility and business impact of solutions.

• Engage directly in solution development, standards creation, and resolving issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development, ideally with 5 years or more in engineering roles.

• Proven experience in developing, delivering, and managing AI solutions in production settings.

• Background as a technical reference, Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or in a comparable technical leadership position.

• Familiarity with systems architecture, including APIs, asynchronous processing, caching, scalability, observability, and resilience.

• Hands-on experience with LLM-based applications, agents, or RAG, utilizing frameworks like Agno, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or similar/proprietary solutions.

• Experience in process automation, pipelines, CI/CD, data pipelines, or DevOps methodologies applied to AI solutions.

• Understanding of embeddings, semantic search, and evaluating response quality.

• Capability to offer technical guidance to others, review solutions, propose standards, and make informed technical decisions.

• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development best practices.

• Knowledge of infrastructure, networking, communication protocols, and cloud environments.

• Experience with observability, debugging, and troubleshooting of production systems.
