AI Strategy Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and take ownership of Novanta’s AI strategy that aligns with business goals.

• Identify and prioritize AI use cases, ensuring they have clear success metrics.

• Assess emerging AI technologies and foundational models for potential enterprise use.

• Collaborate with data science, engineering, and IT teams to implement scalable AI solutions.

• Supervise governance, compliance, and ethical considerations for AI projects.

• Define the infrastructure and resource needs for AI development and deployment.

• Create frameworks for model lifecycle management, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation.

• Provide guidance to senior leadership on AI trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive positioning.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technology strategy or IT leadership, including over 3 years in AI/ML.

• Demonstrated success in shaping and implementing AI strategies in complex settings.

• Strong knowledge of AI architectures, data pipelines, and governance frameworks.

• Capability to communicate strategic and technical concepts effectively to executive stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing external partnerships.

• Familiarity with regulatory, ethical, and risk factors related to AI adoption.
