AI Solutions Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead client engagements that are billable, focusing on AI and automation, while working closely with clients to pinpoint inefficiencies, design solutions, and implement tools that enhance their financial and operational workflows.

• Act as the main point of contact and project leader for client AI engagements, overseeing scope, timelines, deliverables, and maintaining client relationships throughout the process.

• Facilitate discovery sessions and conduct process assessments with clients to gain insight into their systems, challenges, and objectives prior to recommending solutions.

• Clearly and confidently present findings, project plans, and progress updates to client stakeholders, including executives and non-technical decision-makers.

• Manage the complete project lifecycle for AI implementations, from initial scoping and planning through execution, handoff, and post-implementation review.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that outline defined milestones, resource requirements, and timelines; proactively identify and communicate risks before they escalate into issues.

• Lead and manage a team of staff supporting AI and automation initiatives, establishing clear expectations, effectively allocating tasks, and ensuring accountability across ongoing projects.

• Coordinate with internal team members, external vendors, and client stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and aligned with goals.

• Balance competing priorities across multiple ongoing engagements, making informed decisions regarding sequencing, resource allocation, and escalation.

• Maintain detailed project documentation throughout each engagement to ensure a comprehensive record of decisions, progress, and outcomes.

• Direct the evaluation, selection, and integration of AI tools that enhance both client engagements and the firm’s internal operations, focusing on automation, compliance, financial reporting, and client management.

• Manage relationships with AI vendors and technology partners, holding them accountable to established performance and reliability standards.

• Ensure that all solutions integrate seamlessly with existing systems, particularly QuickBooks and other core platforms utilized by clients and the firm.

• Keep abreast of emerging AI technologies and proactively propose recommendations that could benefit clients or the business.

• Identify opportunities to optimize Treewalk's internal processes using AI, including automation of data entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows.

• Lead initiatives to standardize the adoption and usage of AI tools across the firm, ensuring a consistent and measurable impact.

• Design and deliver training for both client teams and internal staff to ensure effective implementation of each deployed tool.

• Mentor and coach junior staff on AI tools, project workflows, and best practices for client engagement, contributing to the team's development as the practice expands.

• Serve as the firm's primary internal resource for AI-related inquiries, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

• Establish KPIs for each client engagement and internal initiative, providing regular performance reports to both clients and senior leadership.

• Continuously evaluate the tools in use and recommend enhancements or adjustments to improve their effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in technology implementation, process improvement, or a client-facing consulting role, ideally within professional services or an accounting/finance context.

• Proven skills in project management: you excel at building plans, communicating timelines, identifying risks early, managing resources, and ensuring alignment among multiple stakeholders across concurrent projects.

• Demonstrated experience in evaluating and deploying AI or automation tools in a business setting.

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar is a strong asset; personal or hobby use is also valuable.

• Strong, polished communication skills with clients; you are comfortable leading meetings, presenting to executives, and managing expectations in complex situations.

• Comfort in an accounting and finance environment; while you don't need to be a CPA, you should understand how a firm like ours operates and what is important to our clients.

• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms is a strong advantage.

• Familiarity with data privacy, security, and compliance considerations in professional services.

• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification is an asset, though not required.
