This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and sustain customer integrations, such as data connectors, API-based integrations, and FHIR and C-CDA data flows, from the initial commit to production.
• Create and deploy agents, skills, and automation tools utilized by Customer Solutions, Customer Success, and Sales teams.
• Build prototypes for proofs of concept and demo environments for prospects using only synthetic patient records, managing each POC through to completion with the account team.
• Assist in customer onboarding and provide technical troubleshooting at the Customer Solutions level.
• Participate in discovery calls alongside Sales and Channel Partnerships, addressing technical inquiries and aiding in RFP responses and security questionnaires.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Sales and Channel Partnerships to define integration scopes, identify product gaps, and transition tasks to the core platform when necessary.
• Adhere to the team's software development life cycle (SDLC), including ticketed tasks, code reviews, CI/CD processes, and proper documentation.
• Conduct threat modeling on deployed work, safeguard secrets and patient data, and comply with HIPAA and HITRUST standards.
• Design agents and automation processes with the principle of least privilege, requiring human approval for irreversible actions, and maintain activity logs.
• Streamline repetitive review, testing, and deployment activities while ensuring quality and security standards are met.
• Develop tests and evaluations for agents/skills alongside the deployed code.
• Within the first 90 days, successfully ship a customer integration to production and manage a prospect POC from start to finish.
• Within the first year, establish a reusable integration toolkit and enhance contract-to-live timelines, POC conversion rates, escalation processes, security measures, and automation reliability.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, React, or a similar modern language and framework, with demonstrable production code and the capability to work effectively in both.
• Experience in directing AI coding agents at scale and critically assessing their outputs.
• Familiarity with building applications using LLM APIs, including tool utilization and output quality evaluation.
• Experience in REST API design and integration.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, with a preference for AWS.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases, including data querying and modeling in a warehouse.
• Understanding of standard SDLC and DevOps methodologies: ticketed work, code reviews, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience handling regulated data, including PHI, with a security-focused engineering approach.
• Comfortable interacting directly with customers to comprehend their challenges and needs, translating that understanding into effective solutions swiftly.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR or C-CDA, or knowledge of TEFCA and Carequality networks.
• Experience with agentic frameworks or tool-calling protocols.
