AI Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will assess and evaluate internally developed as well as external AI systems, Generative AI applications, LLM-based workflows, and agent systems from a security perspective.

• You will conduct AI Threat Modeling, risk analyses, security assessments, and architecture reviews for software, cloud, and AI solutions.

• You will develop and establish Secure AI-by-Design and Security-by-Default principles, defining security requirements for AI-driven systems.

• You will identify and assess risks such as Prompt Injection, Jailbreaking, Data Leakage, Model Poisoning, Adversarial Attacks, or insecure agent integrations, and develop appropriate protective measures.

• You will perform AI Red Teaming, technical security analyses, and security reviews, supporting the protection of LLM platforms, agentic AI solutions, and AI service integrations.

• You will develop automated security controls and integrate AI security checks into DevSecOps, CI/CD, and MLOps processes.

• You will establish monitoring and detection mechanisms for AI applications and analyze security events in collaboration with Security Operations teams.

• You will advise development, product, and specialist departments on the secure use of AI and support the implementation of new AI solutions through training, standards, and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• You have a completed degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, or a comparable qualification.

• You possess several years of experience in Security Engineering, Application Security, Cloud Security, or a similar cyber security environment.

• You bring practical experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), modern AI platforms, and cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• You have experience with Threat Modeling, Security Assessments, architecture reviews, and modern DevSecOps, CI/CD, or MLOps processes.

• Knowledge of AI security standards and frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, NIST AI RMF, or comparable approaches is advantageous.

• Ideally, you have experience in areas such as AI Red Teaming, RAG architectures, vector databases, agentic AI, or regulatory requirements like ISO 27001, NIS2, or the EU AI Act.

• You demonstrate a strong security awareness, analytical thinking, a structured working style, and excellent communication skills.

• You possess very good German and English language skills, both spoken and written.
