AI Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive delivery of various AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI initiatives across international business functions.

• Propel AI projects from the initial business intake stage through planning, execution, deployment, production, and realization of value.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, AI Engineers, Data Scientists, MLOps teams, and business stakeholders to develop scalable AI solutions.

• Administer AI delivery roadmaps, managing dependencies, milestones, budgets, risks, and executive reporting across multiple simultaneous initiatives.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams that include Business, Data Engineering, AI Engineering, Platform, Security, Governance, and Change Management.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, PI Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Release Planning.

• Oversee AI-specific delivery backlogs that encompass data readiness, feature engineering, model training, model validation, deployment readiness, and Responsible AI assessments.

• Drive the intake, prioritization, capacity planning, governance, and throughput of the AI Factory.

• Lead Value Teams that are concentrated on achieving measurable business results.

• Align delivery priorities with business KPIs, value hypotheses, ROI, and operational outcomes.

• Track the health of AI programs using delivery metrics such as model cycle time, deployment velocity, adoption, business value realization, and delivery performance.

• Manage risks associated with AI programs including data quality, model performance, governance, Responsible AI, regulatory compliance, and organizational readiness.

• Support enterprise governance forums, AI steering committees, executive portfolio reviews, and business leadership reporting.

• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing, production readiness, deployment planning, hypercare, and post-production stabilization.

• Ensure compliance of AI initiatives with enterprise architecture standards, data governance policies, security requirements, and Responsible AI frameworks.

• Cultivate relationships with executive stakeholders and translate complex AI delivery concepts into business-focused results.

• Mentor delivery teams on Agile best practices tailored to AI and Data Product delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of Program or Project Management experience within enterprise technology organizations.

• At least 2 years of recent experience (within the last 24 months) in delivering AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI programs.

• Proven track record in managing enterprise AI delivery from concept to production deployment.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering AI work products in Agile product delivery environments.

• Strong grasp of the AI/ML development lifecycle, which includes data readiness, feature engineering, model development, model validation, model deployment, MLOps, model monitoring, and Responsible AI practices.

• Practical experience working within an AI Factory or a similar centralized AI delivery model.

• Experience leading Value Teams and achieving measurable business outcomes through Value-Based Delivery frameworks.

• In-depth understanding of Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and hybrid delivery methodologies.

• Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams in Product, Engineering, AI, Data Science, Security, Business, and Governance.

• Background in managing enterprise portfolios, risks, dependencies, executive reporting, and delivery governance.

• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

• Experience in supporting enterprise AI governance, Responsible AI practices, and compliance initiatives.

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent AI programs in fast-paced enterprise settings.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Data Science, or a related field.

• Preferred: Experience in the Healthcare, Pharma, or Life Sciences industry.

• Preferred: Experience in delivering Generative AI initiatives.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or comparable enterprise AI platforms.

• Preferred: Experience with MLOps platforms and AI deployment pipelines.

• Preferred: Exposure to Data Mesh, Modern Data Platforms, or AI Platform Engineering.

• Preferred: PMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, Agile, or Product Management certifications.

• Preferred: Experience working with Responsible AI frameworks and AI governance boards.

• Preferred: Engagement with executive stakeholders in global transformation programs.
