AI Product Owner – HealthTec

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage the AI product backlog, ensuring it is properly prioritized, refined, and prepared for engineering delivery.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams in daily Agile/Scrum delivery, actively engaging in sprint planning, refinement, and execution.

• Decompose requirements into clear, actionable user stories accompanied by robust acceptance criteria.

• Work in-depth with engineers on the design of solutions for AI features, APIs, integrations, and data flows.

• Engage in technical discussions to help shape feasible solutions and challenge engineering decisions when necessary.

• Convert customer and business requirements into actionable technical specifications for AI-driven features.

• Ensure that AI solutions (LLMs, agents, integrations) are practical, scalable, and aligned with genuine user needs.

• Establish success metrics prior to development and validate results post-delivery.

• Proactively identify delivery risks (data, integration, model limitations) and assist in driving mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate closely with Product Management to ensure the execution aligns with the AI roadmap and overall company strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner in B2B SaaS, with robust hands-on delivery experience.

• Demonstrated experience working directly with engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Strong technical knowledge of APIs, system integrations, and data flows.

• Experience actively participating in technical solution design discussions.

• Solid understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, with the ability to assess feasibility in collaboration with engineers.

• Practical familiarity with LLMs (including prompting, context limits, cost, latency, quality, and risks).

• Experience in building or delivering AI-powered features/products in partnership with engineering teams (beyond merely using AI tools).

• Understanding of agentic AI concepts (such as tool use, orchestration, and workflows).

• Strong skills in backlog management and user story writing.

• Ability to make decisions amidst ambiguity and work within technical constraints.

• Proficient in English (B2+ level).
