AI Product Manager – Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the strategy and roadmap for Zyte’s AI-centric product initiatives, with an emphasis on agentic systems and AI-native developer workflows.

• Guide a cross-functional team in delivering capabilities that integrate Zyte seamlessly into developers' software-building processes using AI agents.

• Identify opportunities across integrations, APIs, workflows, ecosystem partnerships, and developer experience that enhance Zyte’s positioning in the agentic tooling landscape.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Architecture, R&D, and Platform teams to transform concepts into scalable, impactful product decisions.

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of developers, AI builders, and technical users, advocating for their needs throughout the product lifecycle.

• Keep abreast of rapid market developments in AI, agents, developer tooling, and related ecosystems, adapting strategies swiftly as necessary.

• Engage directly with emerging tools and agentic systems to grasp how users build, identify friction points, and discover areas where Zyte can add value.

• Oversee product execution from discovery to launch and post-launch optimization, maintaining a strong emphasis on speed, iteration, and learning.

• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, Services, DevRel, and Customer Success to ensure go-to-market readiness, effective positioning, enablement, and successful customer adoption.

• Clearly articulate product strategy, priorities, progress, and tradeoffs across teams and to executive stakeholders.

• Leverage qualitative insights, product intuition, market context, and data to make informed prioritization decisions and drive measurable outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of product management or ownership experience, preferably in a technology company, developer-focused product, platform business, or high-growth startup.

• Familiarity with APIs, platforms, automation tools, or ecosystem-driven product strategies.

• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical proficiency gained through experience.

• Demonstrated ability to manage product strategy, roadmap, and execution from start to finish.

• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders across product, engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer-facing functions.

• Strong capability to comprehend and discuss technical concepts, product tradeoffs, and architectural considerations with engineering teams.

• Track record of successfully developing products for technical users, particularly developers or similarly demanding user groups.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly across various audiences and levels of seniority.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, unstructured environment with a proactive approach to action.

• Strong product judgment, prioritization abilities, and comfort in navigating ambiguity.

• Experience in taking products from discovery to launch and through post-launch iteration and growth.

• Knowledge of agile product development and lean, iterative methodologies.

• Experience in developing products, integrations, or workflows for AI agents, AI-native developer tools, or agentic coding environments.

• A solid understanding of what constitutes an excellent developer experience in tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Codex, and similar ecosystems.

• Experience creating products for software developers or technical practitioners who utilize AI in their everyday workflows.

• It is not expected that any single candidate will possess deep expertise across all areas. We seek someone who excels in several of them and is eager to expand their knowledge in others.
