Remotery

AI Product Engineer

Posted Jun 12

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Develop agents that investigate incidents, highlighting anomalies, answering questions like "why is production broken?", and utilizing ClickStack as their foundation.

• Create skills rather than mere prompts. Assemble a library of reusable skills that encapsulates how our team troubleshoots, identifies root causes, constructs ClickHouse queries, and manages incident responses, ensuring agents access the correct playbook instead of starting anew.

• Take full ownership of the agent stack from start to finish. Engage in context engineering, tool design, evaluations, tracing, and cost management. You are accountable for the operational performance of the agent in production.

• Enhance ClickStack as an optimal platform for running AI workloads. Develop MCP servers, SDKs, and integrations that enable customer agents to read telemetry, take action, and maintain their observability.

• Promote transparency. Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers, troubleshoot their issues alongside them, and integrate your learnings back into the product.

• Address challenging aspects such as latency, cost, context window limitations, evaluation coverage, and hallucinations with real telemetry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, including 1–2 years working with LLM-powered systems or agents deployed in production.

• Proficient backend skills in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python. Comfortable with both languages, even if one is your primary focus.

• Practical experience in developing agents: multi-step tool usage, planning, memory management, and error recovery. You have shipped these agents and navigated their failure modes.

• Experience in designing skills (such as Markdown-based workflow encodings, Anthropic-style, or similar) with a clear understanding of when to use a skill, a tool, or both.

• Familiarity with MCP: constructing servers, designing tools, and considering authentication, scoping, and observability in agentic systems.

• Strong practice in evaluations: golden sets, LLM-as-judge, and regression detection.

• Proficient in SQL — capable of writing ClickHouse queries directly.

• Comfortable working with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Actively engaged in open-source and the developer community.
