AI Photography & Videography Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Leading and defining the creative strategy for Canva's photography and video content, ensuring the development of a diverse, trendy, and genuinely useful library for our users.

• Implementing AI-first methodologies in content production by utilizing AI to generate, enrich, tag, and scale photo and video assets that would otherwise take years to produce manually.

• Collaborating with Content Studio's production teams, engineers, and product managers to create tools and workflows that facilitate large-scale content creation.

• Establishing quality standards and creative direction for photography and video, which includes commissioning shoots, reviewing assets, and ensuring that each piece meets Canva's high standards.

• Contributing to the goals of Canva's AI Template Marketplace, where photo and video content plays a crucial role in bringing templates to life.

• Mentoring and leading a team of photographers, videographers, and content producers to help them achieve the best work of their careers.

⛳️ Requirements

• You are an experienced creative leader in photography and/or video, possessing a strong perspective on quality and craftsmanship.

• You have a genuine enthusiasm for how AI is transforming content creation and have prior experience incorporating AI tools into your workflow.

• You have previously led creative teams or specialized areas, understanding how to provide direction and foster growth in others.

• You comprehend the implications of operating at platform scale, managing millions of assets utilized across numerous contexts.

• You can balance creative ambition with operational rigor, caring about both producing beautiful work and ensuring timely delivery.

• You excel in a cross-functional environment, working closely with engineers, product managers, and operations teams.
