AI Photography & Videography Creative Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Establishing and guiding the creative strategy for Canva's photography and video content, ensuring the development of a library that is diverse, trendy, and genuinely beneficial for our users.

• Implementing AI-first methods for content production: utilizing AI to create, enhance, tag, and scale photo and video assets that would otherwise take years to produce manually.

• Collaborating with Content Studio's production teams, engineers, and product managers to develop tools and workflows that facilitate large-scale content creation.

• Defining quality standards and creative direction for photography and video, including commissioning shoots, reviewing assets, and ensuring every piece aligns with Canva's high standards.

• Contributing to the objectives of Canva's AI Template Marketplace, where photo and video content plays a crucial role in bringing templates to life.

• Mentoring and leading a team of photographers, videographers, and content producers to achieve their best work throughout their careers.

• You are a seasoned creative leader in photography and/or video, possessing a strong perspective on quality and craftsmanship.

• You are genuinely enthusiastic about the transformative impact of AI on content creation and have experience incorporating AI tools into your workflow.

• You have previously led creative teams or specialized areas, and you are adept at providing direction and fostering growth among team members.

• You comprehend the complexities of operating at platform scale, managing millions of assets used across diverse contexts.

• You can balance creative aspirations with operational excellence, demonstrating a commitment to producing beautiful work and delivering it efficiently.

• You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with engineers, product managers, and operations teams.
