AI Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Assume operational responsibility for the configuration, reliability, and standards of Storyteller’s AI tools and platforms.

• Assist the AI Operations team in responding to changes in AI tools, platforms, models, or foundational capabilities.

• Establish, maintain, and enhance operational standards regarding the configuration, access, usage, and monitoring of AI tools.

• Increase transparency concerning AI tool configuration, platform usage, access administration, permissions, dependencies, and operational performance.

• Identify areas in our AI tooling setup that are weak, unstable, or high-friction, and contribute to the development of practical, durable, and scalable solutions.

• Collaborate with internal teams to assess where AI tooling is beneficial, where it may cause friction, and what improvements are necessary.

• Provide leadership with clearer insights into the performance of the AI tooling stack, highlighting areas of strength, fragility, and necessary platform or workflow adjustments.

• Ensure that Storyteller’s AI tooling remains effective, well-managed, reliable, and aligned with the actual workings of the business.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing or enhancing technical platforms, preferably including AI tools, automation platforms, LLM-based tools, or AI-supported workflows.

• High level of agency and robust ownership of operational results.

• Strong technical acumen, particularly concerning AI tools, platform configuration, workflows, permissions, integrations, APIs, and dependencies.

• Ability to make decisions in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.

• Capacity to prioritize trade-offs across a technical tooling stack and act with decisiveness.

• A history of completing operational improvements instead of merely identifying or suggesting them.

• Clear and direct communication skills, with the confidence to uphold established standards.

• Genuine interest in AI tools and a keen awareness of the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape.

• Good judgment regarding when to act independently, seek input, and how to bridge user needs with platform realities.

• Energy, discipline, and the ability to follow through to operate efficiently without overlooking important details.
