AI Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Assume operational responsibility for the configuration, reliability, and technical standards of Storm's AI tools and platforms.

• Lead the technical response of the AI Operations team when there are changes to AI tools, platforms, or their underlying capabilities.

• Establish and maintain technical operational standards for AI tooling within the scope of the AI Operations team.

• Enhance visibility regarding AI tool configurations, AI platform usage, administration of AI tool access, and the operational performance of AI platforms.

• Identify weak, unstable, or high-friction operations related to AI tooling, develop technical solutions, and ensure they are robust and scalable.

• Provide leadership with clearer insights into the reliability of the AI tooling stack, its vulnerabilities, and necessary changes to AI platforms or tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in the operational management of technical platforms, particularly in AI tools or platforms.

• High level of agency and strong ownership of technical operational results.

• Ability to make sound decisions amidst ambiguity and urgency.

• Capability to prioritize challenging trade-offs within a technical platform stack and take decisive action.

• Proficiency in driving technical operational improvements to completion, rather than merely proposing them.

• Clear and direct technical communication, with the confidence to uphold technical standards.

• Genuine expertise in AI tools and platforms, with a strong instinct for the rapid evolution of the AI tooling environment.

• Strong technical understanding of AI platforms, including LLM platform configuration, prompt and agent setup, AI tool APIs and integrations, AI tool permissions, AI-related automation, and AI workflow dependencies.

• Good judgment regarding when to take action, when to seek assistance, and how to bridge user requirements with AI platform realities.

• Energy, discipline, and the ability to maintain a sustained pace of work.
