This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Take ownership of the technical vision and implementation for a collection of PoCs, from initial exploration to functional prototypes.
• Lead a small engineering team — establish direction, evaluate work, nurture talent, and ensure the team remains focused and inspired.
• Conduct light research: define a problem, analyze the landscape, formulate a hypothesis, and outline the criteria for a successful prototype.
• Convert abstract concepts into tangible plans with specific milestones, then carry them out.
• Develop fullstack solutions — including backend services, frontends, data pipelines, and the connections among them.
• Embrace an AI-first approach: utilize AI tools to speed up development and create products that integrate LLMs, agents, retrieval, and related methods where they deliver real value.
• Make practical decisions regarding build-vs-buy and determine what qualifies as "good enough for a PoC," striking a balance between speed and the elements that require robustness.
• Collaborate with product, design, and leadership teams to determine which prototypes should advance to product status.
• Demonstrated technical leadership — has successfully led a team or managed a significant workstream, established technical direction, made decisions about what to build, and delivered through others.
• Strong fullstack engineering skills with substantial experience in AI development — practical experience across backend and frontend in at least two of C#, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript (capable of learning the third), and a genuinely AI-native approach: adept with AI development tools and hands-on experience creating LLM-driven products.
• Truly self-motivated and proactive — excels in uncertain situations, defines problems independently when not provided, and drives them to completion.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and sufficient DevOps skills to deploy — CI/CD, containers, ensuring a prototype is deployable, observable, and demonstrable. PoC-level experience is acceptable; specialization in infrastructure is not required.
• Working knowledge of ETL/ELT, data warehouses, and lakehouse concepts — enough to design a practical pipeline and understand data flow within a prototype.
• Proven experience in taking a product or prototype from 0 to 1 for real users or market validation.
• A notable area of expertise (distributed systems, ML/AI, frontend architecture, or data engineering) in addition to a broad skill set.
• Experience in a startup, R&D lab, or innovation team where rapid pace and ownership were standard.
• Familiarity with experimental design, rapid user testing, or other cost-effective methods to validate an idea.
• Ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities
• Professional training and English/Spanish language courses
• Comprehensive medical insurance
• Mental health support
• Specialized benefits program offering compensation for fitness activities, hobbies, pet care, and more
• Flexible working hours
• An inclusive and supportive culture
