AI Labs Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of challenges from initial discovery to full adoption by collaborating directly with internal users, understanding their workflows, and launching solutions across the entire stack while measuring the impact.

• Develop and enhance internal AI tools, which encompass agents, guidelines, tools, guardrails, evaluations, and human handoffs.

• Maintain thorough documentation of decisions, configurations, risks, and operational procedures.

• Proactively identify architecture, security, privacy, compliance, and production risks at an early stage.

• Organize and implement AI enablement initiatives such as AI Champs, Lattes with AI Labs, and Lunch & Learns.

• Collaborate with team members to transform concepts into tangible products.

• Investigate new models, products, and agent patterns.

• Stay updated on industry advancements and experiment with genuinely beneficial technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successfully built and launched at least one tool, product, or project that extends beyond your personal machine.

• Actively engage with AI models and development tools.

• Capable of articulating the strengths and weaknesses of AI models and tools, what you have validated, and how to assess quality in practical workflows.

• Possess full-stack expertise, including interfaces, backend logic, APIs and integrations, data flows, testing, and deployment.

• Ability to manage a defined feature from start to finish.

• Demonstrate product judgment: engage with users, clarify product decisions, select the smallest effective version, and measure outcomes.

• Quick learner who can seek assistance with relevant context, navigate incomplete information, accept coaching, and incorporate feedback.

• Must reside in Eastern or Central time zones and work during Boston hours.

• Should be located within one hour of a medium hub or large airport with multiple daily flights to Boston.
