This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Specify the types of AI that the enterprise will utilize and the criteria and conditions for their use.
• Outline the decisions that can be delegated to AI, the scenarios where human involvement is necessary, and the instances where AI can operate independently.
• Create a process for the intake of AI use cases, which includes conducting AI impact assessments and classifying risks.
• Determine accountability when AI is employed, identifying model and use case owners in the business, as well as ensuring independent risk and compliance reviews and audit assurances.
• Define the governance framework for third-party and vendor AI, covering procurement standards, vendor evaluation criteria, contractual agreements, and ongoing assessments.
• Act as the main governance advisor to VP- and Director-level stakeholders, translating strategic objectives into practical governance commitments.
• Lead the engagement team, overseeing both the engagement roadmap and the deliverables from development to implementation.
• 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in enterprise data governance, model risk management, corporate governance, AI/ML lifecycle oversight, or a closely related governance, risk, or compliance field, with a focus on engagement or program leadership.
• Proven experience in establishing policy and accountability frameworks at an enterprise level, as opposed to merely implementing frameworks designed by others.
• Comprehensive understanding of the structure of authority, accountability, and decision rights within large organizations.
• Experience in defining oversight structures that include first-line ownership within the business, independent risk and compliance reviews, and audit assurances.
• Successful history of managing diverse stakeholders across governance, business, technical, and functional areas.
• Excellent executive communication skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders, articulating trade-offs, and facilitating decision-making.
• Ability to work closely with an in-house client team, balancing facilitation and hands-on execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Information Management, Risk, Law, Business, Public Policy, Philosophy, or similar), or equivalent professional experience.
