AI-First Engineering Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with senior engineers to pinpoint opportunities where AI tools and integrations can alleviate friction, and implement solutions.

• Develop applications and integrations utilizing Xsolla's APIs and SDKs that demonstrate to internal teams how to enhance their efficiency through AI-assisted development.

• Deliver meaningful work. Your contributions are anticipated to reach actual users—whether it’s an internal tool adopted by an engineering team or a customer-facing integration—not just a temporary project that gets set aside after your internship concludes.

• Utilize agentic coding tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as your primary method of operation, rather than an occasional resource.

• Operate with minimal processes. You will receive context, a problem to solve, and mentorship—the remainder is up to you to navigate and create.

• Gain insights from and collaborate with both senior engineers who will guide you on production-grade practices, as well as fellow interns across markets with whom you will exchange ideas and code during weekly demos.

⛳️ Requirements

• A genuine enthusiasm for building. You have undertaken side projects, participated in hackathons, contributed to open-source initiatives, or created something out of sheer curiosity. You didn’t require an assignment to motivate you.

• Proficient in AI tools. You have practical experience using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar agentic coding resources to develop projects—not merely asking ChatGPT to clarify a concept. You should be able to articulate how you utilized AI to achieve results and how you validated its effectiveness—not just someone who submits a prompt and hopes for a positive outcome.

• A proactive approach. When faced with an ambiguous challenge, you begin building before seeking a specification.

• Comfort with creating modern full-stack solutions—we prioritize your learning agility over your existing knowledge base.

• Open to current undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates from a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline. If you are pursuing a graduate degree and are willing to undertake an internship-level position to gain practical experience with AI, we encourage you to apply.
