AI Engineer – Superhuman Mail

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance Superhuman Mail’s MCP, incorporating new tools, standards, and agent functionalities.

• Create and implement agentic workflows and personalization features on a large scale.

• Establish evaluation systems to assess quality and identify regressions as prompts, models, and tools evolve.

• Assist in selecting the appropriate models for each task and investigate new modeling options.

• Collaborate with various teams within Superhuman to deliver AI foundational elements.

• Rapidly ship products, learn from outcomes, and adapt to industry shifts.

• Contribute to shaping the modeling methodology, including data collection and generation processes.

• Utilize technologies such as Go, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, and TurboPuffer in development.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in software engineering with a solid backend background.

• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript; experience with Go is advantageous.

• Practical experience in building and deploying LLM-powered features in production, including agents or agentic loops.

• Background in creating evaluations to assess and enhance LLM quality.

• Knowledge of MCP servers or tools, or a strong willingness to learn.

• Understanding of machine learning principles to make informed decisions regarding model selection and trade-offs.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to changes in direction.

• Leverages AI to enhance personal efficiency and team contributions.

• Demonstrates strong ownership, a proactive approach, and a growth-oriented mindset.
