AI Engineer – Superhuman Mail

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the MCP for Superhuman Mail, creating new tools, standards, and methods for agents to provide value to end users.

• Design and implement agentic workflows and personalization features on a large scale.

• Construct evaluation systems that assess quality and identify regressions as prompts, models, and tools evolve.

• Assist in selecting the appropriate models for each task and investigate new model options.

• Collaborate with various teams within Superhuman to deliver AI building blocks.

• Rapidly deploy solutions while learning and adapting as the industry evolves.

• Contribute to shaping the modeling strategy, including data collection and generation processes.

• Develop the underlying platform for Superhuman Mail’s intelligent, agentic experiences.

• Support AI functionalities across Superhuman's AI productivity platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6+ years of experience in software engineering with a solid backend foundation.

• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript; experience with Go is a bonus.

• Practical experience in developing and deploying LLM-powered features in production, such as agents or agentic loops.

• Skill in creating evaluations to assess and enhance LLM quality.

• Familiarity with MCP servers or tools, or a strong willingness to learn.

• Working knowledge of machine learning concepts to evaluate model selection and trade-offs.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to rapid changes in direction.

• An AI enthusiast who leverages AI to enhance personal productivity and team effectiveness.

• Demonstrates strong ownership, a proactive mindset, and a focus on growth.

• Experience with Go, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, or TurboPuffer is desirable.
