AI Engineer – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• As a high-agency individual contributor, you will take ownership of the entire lifecycle of AI solutions, from initial research through to deployment on AWS.

• You will design and implement production-grade RAG pipelines and agentic workflows utilizing Python.

• Your responsibilities will include evaluating new models (LLMs, embedding models, and object detection), prototyping methods for SBIR/government deliverables, and conducting experiments to validate effective solutions.

• Collaborating with the team, you will document architectures, contribute to technical reports for contract deliverables, and engage in pre-sales discussions to architect solutions tailored to complex client needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in deploying Production RAG pipelines against complex, real-world datasets.

• In-depth knowledge of agentic system design, including tool-use and multi-agent orchestration.

• Proficient Python engineering skills, capable of writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

• Experience working within AWS/GovCloud environments.

• Familiarity with fine-tuning NLP or object detection models is a plus (nice-to-have).

• Understanding of LLM evaluation frameworks (such as hallucination detection and drift monitoring) is a plus (nice-to-have).

• Knowledge of government security standards and experience in various classification environments and on-prem solutions is a plus (nice-to-have).

• Security Clearance: Existing Secret/TS clearance or eligibility is a significant advantage (nice-to-have).
