AI Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Software development: Creation and implementation of maintainable, thoroughly tested backend services and full-stack applications, emphasizing Clean Code, TDD, and clean architecture.

• AI application design: Development of tailored AI applications based on established large language models (LLMs) to meet specific business needs.

• System and data integration: Seamless integration of existing AI models and services into current systems and workflows.

• API development: Crafting, documenting, and providing well-structured APIs to facilitate communication between AI and other software components.

• Testing and validation: Constructing automated tests and CI/CD pipelines while continuously assessing and enhancing software components and RAG pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development, preferably in a senior capacity.

• Proficient in Python or a similar programming language; familiarity with TypeScript and/or C# is advantageous.

• Hands-on experience with Clean Code principles, Test Driven Development, automated testing, and conducting code reviews.

• Strong understanding of RAG pipelines and vector databases, along with practical experience in LLM-based applications.

• A solid backend development foundation, complemented by basic frontend knowledge (e.g., TypeScript/React).

• Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and consistently align solutions with tangible business value.

• Proficient in communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborating effectively across teams.

• German language proficiency at a minimum B2 level, both written and spoken.
