This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Create, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions, including custom GPTs, copilots, and agentic workflows utilizing enterprise LLM platforms and APIs.
• Construct Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector search functionalities, and secure data connectors to facilitate the use of Verathon-owned data.
• Collaborate with AI Business Partners and other departmental representatives to convert functional requirements and use-case concepts into technical applications.
• Transform business-defined contexts into structured prompts, system instructions, agent behaviors, and RAG retrieval logic (referred to as “technical context engineering”).
• Enhance and optimize context injection strategies (such as prompt templates, chains, tools, memory, and retrieval parameters) to increase solution reliability and precision.
• Rapidly prototype, iterate based on user feedback, and deliver production-ready AI solutions with necessary guardrails.
• Develop reusable prompts, templates, automations, and components to expedite future AI solution development.
• Integrate AI tools with Verathon systems (e.g., Salesforce, Epicor, MasterControl, HRIS) while adhering to architecture, security, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with the AI Solutions Architect to assess and implement new AI tools, ensuring compliance with Verathon’s AI Policy and Roper guidelines.
• Clearly document solutions and assist functional teams in the adoption, training, and scaling of deployed AI tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, data science, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in software development, automation engineering, data engineering, or applied AI development.
• Practical experience with Python, REST APIs, and contemporary AI/LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex).
• Experience in configuring and deploying AI tools such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Copilot, Claude, or comparable enterprise AI platforms.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and best practices in prompt design.
• Familiarity with integration patterns for enterprise systems and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
• Proven ability to quickly experiment, prototype, and refine AI solutions based on business feedback.
• Excellent collaboration skills and comfort in working closely with both business and technical stakeholders.
