This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.
• Develop full-stack features and components for Innovation Crew pilots, which include backend services, REST APIs, data pipeline connectors, and frontend implementations.
• Produce clean, thoroughly documented code intended for seamless handoff to maintenance teams.
• Integrate builds with Snowflake, internal APIs, cloud platforms, and the API Gateway.
• Add agent patterns, tests, traces, and documentation to the Power Agents library.
• Create tool integrations, evaluation harnesses, and observability instrumentation for the AI agent workforce.
• Configure frontier model APIs, agentic frameworks, and MCP server integrations.
• Implement frontend components, link UI layers to backend services, and contribute to the shared component library.
• Facilitate technical scoping by mapping dependencies, exploring unknowns, and estimating effort.
• Develop proof-of-concept implementations and contribute benchmark insights to Technology Radar drafts.
• Deliver an initial feature within the first 30 days, contribute a Power Agents update by day 60, and take ownership of a PoC component by day 90.
• Fundamental understanding of full-stack engineering across both backend and frontend.
• Capability to create a functioning API, connect it to a data source, and present it through an operational UI.
• Proven experience in building applications utilizing an LLM API.
• Practical comprehension of RAG and tool-calling.
• Familiarity with frontier model developments and AI coding tools.
• Ability to produce clean, well-documented code and learn rapidly.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript is preferred.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or comparable agent frameworks is valued.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar cloud data platforms is appreciated.
• Understanding of RAG patterns, vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Weaviate, and basic evaluation harness design is advantageous.
• Familiarity with observability fundamentals, including traces versus logs and tools like Langfuse or LangSmith.
• Familiarity with JD Power's internal platform or API is considered beneficial.
• Salary ranging from $115,000–$130,000 USD or $95,000–$115,000 CAD annually.
• Hands-on opportunity to engage with frontier model APIs, agentic frameworks, Power Agents library development, and JD Power’s core data infrastructure.
