AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design and develop end-to-end agent flows on the platform, including prompts, skills, tools, OCR pipelines, and knowledge bases.

• Make architectural decisions regarding the approach, structure, instrumentation, and operation of each solution.

• Build and maintain endpoints in FastAPI, as well as integrations and channel adapters.

• Connect agents with squad systems and external systems.

• Design and refine RAG systems, ensuring their quality.

• Instrument agents to analyze their production behavior and iterate on quality, cost, and latency.

• Act as the AI point of contact for the assigned squad, understand their business, and translate needs into functional systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong mastery of LLMs and understanding of their internal workings.

• Ability to diagnose model failures and hallucinations, and redesign flows accordingly.

• Judgement in selecting approaches based on reliability, cost, and latency.

• Knowledge of agent flows, deterministic automation, and model assignment.

• Proficient in quality Python coding and API development using FastAPI.

• Experience integrating external services and channels for production.

• Familiarity with incoming events, retries, idempotency, and conversation state.

• Explicit handling of errors and observable, instrumented systems.

• Product and business-oriented mindset.

• Autonomy to take solutions from concept to production and operate them.

• Capability to communicate effectively with non-technical profiles.

• Nice to have: experience building and operating AI systems in production.

• Nice to have: familiarity with systematic evaluation of AI systems.

• Nice to have: experience with vector stores, embedding models, or large-scale retrieval pipelines.

• Nice to have: knowledge of PostgreSQL, Docker, and cloud deployments.
