AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, design, and develop solutions in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

• Establish a groundwork for future AI/ML projects.

• Participate in larger software development initiatives.

• Collect requirements, design, create, and implement AI-driven functionalities, integrations, and deployment pipelines.

• Formulate a progressive vision for incorporating RAG into software development lifecycles and business operations.

• Create and execute efficient retrieval systems.

• Develop protective measures against inappropriate or harmful retrieved or generated content.

• Construct and optimize language models tailored for specific tasks and domains.

• Design and implement evaluations and tests to assess system accuracy, relevance, and performance.

• Integrate retrieval and generation components seamlessly.

• Adhere to CACI agile methodologies and participate in daily standups and refinement sessions.

• Maintain the agile project management system.

• Design and execute agentic workflows utilizing supervisor and orchestration patterns.

• Establish observability and evaluation pipelines for LLM applications.

• Collaborate effectively with data scientists, UI/UX designers, subject matter experts, and other teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in software development.

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in NLP, machine learning, or AI development.

• Proficiency in designing agentic flows using supervisor, routing, and hierarchical patterns with LangGraph or similar tools.

• Experience with Linux and Linux-based terminals.

• Understanding of RAG architecture and principles, along with experience in implementing RAG systems.

• Familiarity with RAG frameworks and tools.

• Knowledge of security best practices for AI systems.

• Strong programming capabilities in Python, JavaScript, Rust, or Golang.

• Experience with vector databases, embedding techniques, and data pipelines.

• Familiarity with information retrieval systems.

• Experience with RESTful APIs and cloud services like AWS and OCI.

• Experience with data preprocessing, normalization, cleaning, and vector encoding.

• Knowledge of text analytics and semantic search methodologies.

• Experience with prompt engineering.

• Proven track record of working with multiple teams in an agile setting.

• An active Secret or Top-Secret clearance is preferred.

• A T5 level background investigation, either possessed or obtainable, is preferred.

• Familiarity with Git is a plus.

• Experience with Docker is a plus.

• Experience with relational databases and schema design is a plus.

• Experience in implementing observability, tracing, and evaluation frameworks for LLM applications is a plus.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
