AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Create and execute AI agent workflows that integrate language, vision, and speech models.

• Develop and enhance task-oriented, tool-utilizing AI agents.

• Implement decision-making frameworks, memory techniques, and mechanisms for tool utilization.

• Enhance agent reliability through systematic prompting, strategic planning, and effective error management.

• Design and merge text-centric AI systems, including LLM frameworks, embeddings, rerankers, and RAG architectures.

• Construct document comprehension pipelines utilizing OCR and vision-based technologies.

• Innovate and refine speech-driven AI solutions, covering STT, TTS, and interactive voice interfaces.

• Design and enhance multilingual and translation workflows.

• Take ownership of AI components or features from conception to deployment.

• Deploy, oversee, and refine production-level AI systems focusing on scalability and cost-effectiveness.

• Incorporate AI components into sustainable and scalable systems.

• Apply logging, monitoring, and observability standards.

• Establish and utilize evaluation metrics for assessing AI systems.

• Benchmark and enhance models for performance in inference and cost-effectiveness.

• Conduct experiments and A/B testing.

• Identify potential failure modes and enhance model durability and reliability.

• Design and sustain data pipelines for text, document, and audio information.

• Examine model outputs and user interactions to facilitate continuous improvements.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, data teams, and senior engineers.

• Assist in integration, testing, and deployment within production environments.

• Maintain documentation and engage in code reviews, demonstrations, and technical discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience or expertise with contemporary agent frameworks and orchestration methods.

• Understanding of language, vision, and speech technologies.

• Familiarity with LLM frameworks, embeddings, rerankers, and RAG architectures.

• Experience with OCR and vision-based technologies.

• Knowledge of STT, TTS, and conversational voice interfaces.

• Experience with multilingual and translation workflows.

• Ability to deploy, monitor, and optimize AI systems in a production setting.

• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and observability standards.

• Experience in defining and applying AI evaluation metrics, such as accuracy, latency, and robustness.

• Proficiency in benchmarking and optimizing models for inference performance and cost-effectiveness.

• Experience with running experiments and A/B testing.

• Experience in designing and maintaining data pipelines for text, document, and audio data.

• Competence in collaborating with data, product, design, and engineering teams.

• Ability to document AI pipelines, agent workflows, and evaluation methodologies.

• Proficiency in conducting code reviews, demonstrations, and engaging in technical discussions.
