This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge AI/ML models and algorithms to enhance operational efficiency, forecasting precision, and decision-making intelligence throughout the Hunter Douglas supply chain.
• Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model optimization to guarantee accuracy, robustness, and business relevance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert complex challenges into data-driven solutions that align with organizational objectives.
• Monitor, retrain, and fine-tune models after deployment to ensure sustained high performance as data and business circumstances change.
• Utilize advanced methods such as neural networks, reinforcement learning, natural language processing (NLP), and generative AI to address various business challenges.
• Contribute to the AI strategy roadmap, ensuring it aligns with Hunter Douglas’s digital transformation goals.
• Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to ensure the creation of efficient data pipelines, scalable infrastructure, and effective model deployment.
• Partner with both internal and external technical teams, vendors, and consultants to implement and scale AI solutions.
• Clearly communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through visualizations, presentations, and storytelling techniques.
• Stay updated on AI and analytics innovations, assessing new tools, methodologies, and technologies for possible adoption.
• Work alongside digital product and IT teams to develop and integrate AI-assisted tools and automations within the Hunter Douglas VIBE platform and data ecosystem.
• Experiment with AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex) to accelerate analytics and model development, enhancing reproducibility.
• Assist in creating custom AI copilots and prompt libraries for application in digital supply chain tools, analytics dashboards, and planning applications.
• Collaborate with the Digital Supply Chain Leader to prototype intelligent process automation for recurring planning, logistics, quality, or operational workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related fields)
• Over 5 years of experience in AI/ML model development, deployment, and performance enhancement in a business or industrial context
• Strong skills in Python, R, or SQL for data science and model creation
• Proven experience with machine learning frameworks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Established capability to design and operationalize data science solutions in real-world settings
• Experience with predictive modeling, optimization, and time-series forecasting, preferably within supply chain, operations, or commercial analytics
• Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and collaborative development practices
