AI & Data Governance Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement Data and AI Governance frameworks

• Ensure that data tracking, DLP/DSPM enforcement, and privacy measures remain intact as the technology landscape evolves

• Convert written data classification policies into specific, testable technical requirements for Information Security

• Design and implement validation protocols for DSPM/DLP regulations

• Act as a key member of the enterprise AI Governance Committee

• Oversee and maintain the enterprise AI Allowlist

• Facilitate employee verification regarding AI usage permissions, prohibitions, or required reviews

• Manage the tracking, documentation, and reporting of data flows

• Monitor the intersections between restricted/confidential data and AI technologies

• Leverage OneTrust to maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and manage AI vendor risk evaluations

• Keep abreast of emerging AI capabilities and evolving regulatory frameworks

• Revise internal policies and procedures to mitigate new risks

• Utilize DSPM telemetry to enhance corporate data protection regulations

• Serve as a strategic liaison among Legal, Security, and Engineering teams

• Integrate privacy-by-design principles into technical architectures

• Address complex false-positive escalations effectively

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Law, or Information Security

• Over 7 years of experience in Data Governance, Privacy Engineering, Information Security, or a related discipline

• Strong comprehension of Large Language Models (LLMs)

• Proficient understanding of OneTrust

• Experience in generating requirements for DSPM/DLP tools

• Extensive knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and emerging regulatory frameworks including NIST and the EU AI Act

• Preferred: Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor (JD)

• Preferred: Background in Privacy Engineering

• Preferred: More than 10 years serving as a functional lead in GRC or Privacy architecture

• Preferred: CIPP/E, CIPT, CISSP, or equivalent certifications
