This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Design, develop, and support multi-cloud services utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and ARM templates.
• Construct, enhance, and sustain production-level Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines and semantic search systems.
• Create and oversee data preprocessing workflows, chunking strategies, and vector database infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
• Configure and optimize network security groups, application gateways, and other protective cloud measures.
• Manage compute, storage, networking, and database services across cloud platforms, ensuring security and compliance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, UI/UX designers, and subject matter experts to integrate AI functionalities into user-facing products.
• Establish and uphold security best practices for large language model implementations and data privacy.
• Architect complex multi-agent workflows and secure deployment of AI workloads for systems catering to approximately 300,000 users.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to secure DHS EOD Public Trust.
• BS/BA with 15 years of experience, AA with 17 years, MS with 12 years, or no degree with 21 years of relevant experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in cloud/infrastructure engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Profound understanding of RAG architecture, vector databases, embedding techniques, and information retrieval systems.
• Expert-level Terraform skills and demonstrated experience with infrastructure as code.
• Experience managing production Kubernetes clusters, including AKS/EKS, that support AI/LLM workloads.
• Proficient in Docker containers and CI/CD practices.
• Python scripting/programming skills.
• Active Secret security clearance is preferred.
• Previous experience with DHS or DoD is desirable.
• Familiarity with CSAM, RegScale, eMASS, or similar GRC tools is preferred.
• Experience in supporting emergency operations or disaster response missions is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cloud security and FedRAMP authorization processes is beneficial.
• Experience with continuous monitoring and automated security tools is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for presentations to senior leadership are desirable.
