This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Provide guidance to founders creating companies in sectors such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, therapeutics, drug discovery, diagnostics, computational biology, synthetic biology, healthcare, and similar areas.
• Deliver practical, experience-driven advice on scientific strategy, technical development, company establishment, product strategy, customer discovery, regulatory planning, commercialization, fundraising, and organizational growth.
• Mentor participating founders through one-on-one sessions, office hours, workshops, and company evaluations.
• Assist founders in assessing and enhancing their scientific, technical, product, and commercial strategies.
• Offer insights on company formation, team building, customer discovery, market validation, and fundraising processes.
• Support the evaluation of scientific feasibility, technical differentiation, data strategy, validation needs, and intellectual property factors.
• Provide insights into clinical development, regulatory pathways, healthcare economics, reimbursement, partnerships, and commercialization as applicable.
• Aid teams in understanding the responsible use of AI as well as sensitive scientific, biological, and healthcare data.
• Review company presentations, investor materials, partnership strategies, and fundraising initiatives, providing constructive feedback.
• Facilitate relevant connections to researchers, clinicians, operators, investors, corporate partners, and prospective customers.
• Engage in AI Bio Hub events, panels, Demo Days, and founder-focused programming.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and scientifically rigorous community.
• Extensive experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, therapeutics, diagnostics, computational biology, synthetic biology, medical technology, artificial intelligence, or a related domain.
• Background as a founder, executive, investor, scientist, clinician, researcher, product leader, technical leader, or industry operator.
• Proven understanding of early-stage company development and the process of transforming innovation into commercially viable products.
• Experience in advising, mentoring, investing in, or supporting founders and early-stage companies.
• Strong judgment, communication, coaching, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to offer straightforward and practical guidance while enabling founders to maintain control over their decisions.
• Dedication to responsible innovation, scientific integrity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Preferred experience with AI-driven drug discovery, computational biology, clinical development, digital health, medical devices, diagnostics, synthetic biology, or healthcare data.
• Knowledge of regulatory strategy, intellectual property, clinical validation, biopharmaceutical partnerships, healthcare procurement, or reimbursement processes.
• Established connections within the Cambridge and Boston life sciences, healthcare, technology, investment, or academic ecosystems.
• Previous engagement with an accelerator, venture studio, incubator, university innovation program, or founder community.
• Part-time mentor role with time commitments varying according to program needs, founder demands, and mentor availability.
