AI Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the backend infrastructure that supports the Traia.io AI Agent runtime.

• Create and sustain multi-agent orchestration systems and self-sufficient workflows.

• Establish infrastructure for agent runtimes, tool execution, memory management, and task coordination.

• Integrate MCP servers, tools, skills, and external execution environments effectively.

• Architect secure deployment frameworks for AI agents, incorporating sandboxing and containerized runtimes.

• Develop scalable APIs, queues, event-driven architectures, and real-time communication layers.

• Work collaboratively with AI engineers and infrastructure teams to innovate next-generation autonomous systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive backend engineering experience with Python.

• Proven experience in building AI agents, autonomous workflows, orchestration systems, or multi-agent architectures.

• Familiarity with agent runtimes such as OpenClaw, Hermes, or similar frameworks is a significant advantage.

• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, Docker, Kubernetes, and secure deployment architectures.

• Experience with MCP servers, tool calling systems, RAG pipelines, or AI-enhanced execution frameworks.

• In-depth understanding of security, isolation, scalability, and performance trade-offs in autonomous systems.

• Experience in designing backend systems for task execution, workflow orchestration, or event-driven architectures.
