AI Automation Engineer – Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop AI-driven systems that enhance investment research, outreach, and deal execution processes.

• Minimize manual operational tasks by automating repetitive internal and portfolio company workflows.

• Assist leadership teams in identifying and implementing automation opportunities that yield measurable business advantages.

• Enhance operational efficiency across various portfolio companies through scalable tools and integrations.

• Directly contribute to quicker decision-making, improved reporting processes, and more effective cross-functional execution.

• Establish repeatable automation procedures that promote long-term AI integration throughout the organization.

• Design, create, and sustain AI-powered internal tools that facilitate investment research, outreach, and operational workflows.

• Improve and expand an existing investor outreach web application with automated follow-up sequences and enhanced contact functionality.

• Create a cap table waterfall modeling platform to streamline deal structuring and eliminate manual spreadsheet processes.

• Develop an AI-driven system for generating investment thesis memos that compiles research and produces outputs aligned with the firm’s objectives.

• Identify new opportunities for automation in reporting, workflow management, and investment operations.

• Act as a fractional automation operator across portfolio companies on a project basis.

• Collect requirements directly from founders and operators, translating business challenges into effective AI solutions.

• Build internal applications, automations, dashboards, and workflow systems customized to the needs of portfolio companies.

• Oversee lightweight technical implementation projects and assist with operational deployment.

• Deliver scalable systems that can be maintained by portfolio company teams post-handoff.

• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders within investment and portfolio company teams.

• Engage in proactive communication through asynchronous channels and participate in daily synchronization meetings.

• Provide support for ad hoc financial analyses and operational tasks utilizing AI tools and automation workflows.

• Operate with a strong sense of ownership, independently scoping, prioritizing, and executing projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in AI automation engineering, software engineering, workflow automation, or similar technical roles.

• Proven experience in developing and deploying AI-powered tools, automations, or internal systems utilized in real-world business settings.

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with APIs, webhooks, and authentication processes.

• Regular daily use of AI-native tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, N8N, Zapier, or similar platforms.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to gather requirements, independently scope projects, and execute them without extensive oversight.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

• Genuine interest in business operations, finance, investing, or operational strategy.

• Experience working collaboratively across functions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
