This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, test, and implement AI/ML proof-of-concepts, pilots, and production solutions that are approved by CMS within the DDPS environment.

• Create ML models aimed at automating PDE editing and detecting anomalies.

• Detect outliers, errors, and trends in PDE data that necessitate further verification.

• Develop predictive analytics for analyzing trends in the Part D program, identifying MDP/CGDP outliers, and recognizing patterns in manufacturer disputes.

• Apply NLP solutions for program memoranda, legislative updates, and guidance documents.

• Expedite the maintenance of Participant Guides and conduct impact assessments.

• Utilize LLM-assisted tools for AI-driven development, automated test creation, documentation drafting, and intelligent workflow management across DDPS delivery.

• Prepare data for AI models, implement those models, and validate their outputs.

• Ensure that AI-generated outputs undergo a human-in-the-loop review process for critical decision-making.

• Keep comprehensive documentation for AI models, records for bias detection, and explainability artifacts mandated by CMS AI governance.

• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly AI Governance Report.

• Operate under the guidance of the AI Transformation Engineer.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in AI/ML development, particularly in deploying production models.

• Proficient in Python for ML model creation, data preparation, and validation.

• Familiarity with AWS AI/ML services such as SageMaker, Comprehend, Rekognition, or Bedrock, or similar federal cloud platforms.

• Experience in NLP, integrating LLMs, and prompt engineering for document analysis and workflow automation.

• Proficient with Databricks AutoML, MLflow, or comparable MLOps tools for managing model lifecycles.

• Knowledge of ensuring AI solutions adhere to federal data governance, privacy, and security standards, including FISMA and CMS ARS.

• Capability to pass CMS and internal background checks for public trust clearance.

• Position is contingent upon contract award.

• Candidates must reside in one of the designated U.S. states: Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, Tennessee, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, or Texas.
