Advisory Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Proactively engage with customers to promote Arista products across Data Center, Campus, Routing, AI, CV, and more, aiming to broaden the account footprint.

• Offer technical support for new opportunities, including conducting Proof of Concept testing at Arista and within customer labs.

• Ensure customers are performing operational health checks, compliance evaluations, and automation maturity assessments.

• Assist in the deployment and integration of CloudVision, APIs, and automation toolsets.

• Support customers in establishing workflows for monitoring, telemetry, and provisioning.

• Identify opportunities for ongoing enhancements in customer environments utilizing Arista’s open and programmable platforms.

• Ensure customers are adopting a Modern Operating model, aiming to reduce their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for infrastructure management.

• Conduct strategic and advanced technical workshops covering topics such as automation, CI/CD, CloudVision, and AVD.

• Assess training needs and provide guidance on training, certification, and skill development for customer teams.

• Create business-focused documentation, including success runbooks, solution blueprints, adoption roadmaps, and optimization reports.

• Serve as the main contact for the customer's Operations team during Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), Quality of Reviews (QoRs), and feedback processes.

• Act as a technical liaison among customers, Arista TAC, and engineering teams, focusing on proactive solutions.

• Collaborate with SEs (strategy/pre-sales) and PS (execution) teams to ensure comprehensive coverage of the customer lifecycle.

• Advocate for Arista Professional Services and align customer needs with PS deliverables.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles.

• Proficiency in L2/L3 networking, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN), and automation frameworks (EOS, CloudVision, Ansible, Terraform, Python).

• Strong consultative skills and business insight; experience connecting technical outcomes to revenue enhancement.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and advisory capabilities.

• Arista ACE certification (or a commitment to obtain within the first 90 days).

• Background in customer-facing consultative roles, particularly in professional services or customer success engineering, is preferred.

• Familiarity with data center, cloud, campus, or routing environments.
