This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Employ commercial software applications to assess import/export data.

• Execute HS and ECCN classification to ensure adherence to U.S. Customs requirements and regulations.

• Collaborate within a team to guarantee customer satisfaction regarding classification, compliance, documentation, auditing, and coordination.

• Serve as the client-facing representative, offering guidance, responding to inquiries, and ensuring a premium service experience.

• Analyze and interpret data, documentation, and regulatory information to facilitate compliant decision-making.

• Create, monitor, and present performance metrics and insights.

• Identify compliance risks, propose corrective measures, and support ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Work collaboratively across functions with operations, compliance, and regulatory teams to address issues and enhance processes.

• Remain updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices, proactively advising clients and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with U.S. ECCN and HS classification.

• Previous experience in a client-facing or advisory capacity is preferred.

• Strong understanding of customs regulations, including import/export laws and international trade agreements.

• Knowledge of trade compliance principles, including valuation, tariff rates, and trade programs (e.g., free trade agreements).

• Proficiency in working with databases and Excel.
