This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Provide virtual assistance to students and their guardians/Learning Coaches regarding course selection and scheduling.
• Conduct Welcome Calls for new students and keep grade-level teachers updated.
• Track grade-level escalations and monitor attendance.
• Guide students and families on academic matters, career planning, and graduation requirements.
• Aid in school course selection and assist in developing a Four-Year Plan.
• Monitor truancy and help formulate Academic Plans.
• Identify students who may be “at risk” or “in crisis” and serve as their primary point of contact.
• Manage and uphold the Personal Learning Plan (PLP) for each student.
• Engage in creating crisis prevention and management strategies.
• Assist teachers with student enrollments during the mid-semester period.
• Facilitate professional development initiatives for teachers and school staff members.
• Preferred Michigan teacher certification, though not mandated by MDE.
• Preference for Michigan residency.
• Proficient technology skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• Focused on student and family needs.
• High level of adaptability.
• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Track record as a collaborative team player.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
• Availability to work occasional evening hours to support families when necessary.
• Must be able to utilize a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication.
