Advanced Industrial Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Define the future of operations by implementing scalable, efficient, and resilient manufacturing systems.

• Oversee a team that manages projects from inception to completion.

• Design and enhance comprehensive manufacturing and operational processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and scalability.

• Conduct advanced time studies, line balancing, capacity modeling, and initiatives aimed at optimizing throughput.

• Develop standard operating procedures, labor models, and ergonomic solutions tailored for complex manufacturing settings.

• Utilize Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and the Theory of Constraints to detect and eliminate operational inefficiencies.

• Construct and maintain sophisticated simulation, flow, and capacity models.

• Generate cost models, conduct make-vs-buy analyses, and provide ROI justifications for capital and process investments.

• Impact product design through Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), tolerance analysis, error-proofing, and feasibility assessments for assembly.

• Spearhead New Product Introduction (NPI) industrialization efforts, including production layouts, material flow, and strategies for ramp-up.

• Promote continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen events, development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and cross-functional leadership.

• Execute additional related responsibilities as required and assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in Industrial or Operations Engineering.

• Willingness to travel to Excellerate locations as necessary, up to 25% annually.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday between 7 AM and 5 PM.

• Flexibility in work schedule.

• Experience or proficiency in systems thinking and advanced problem-solving.

• Strong project leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in data-driven decision-making.

• Skills in change management and aligning stakeholders.

• Leadership and coaching skills for team development.

• Results-oriented approach focused on achieving measurable outcomes.
