This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Salesforce support inquiries, addressing common issues and referring complex problems to the Administrator II.
• Manage and resolve incoming Salesforce support tickets from various teams, including enrollment, student success, and marketing.
• Diagnose user-reported issues such as page layout glitches, data inconsistencies, report errors, and access challenges.
• Record steps taken to resolve issues and maintain the team's knowledge base.
• Provide comprehensive documentation when escalating complex or recurring issues to the Administrator II.
• Conduct routine system configurations and oversee user access in accordance with established governance standards.
• Manage the creation of user accounts, profile assignments, changes to permission sets, and updates to role hierarchies in line with security protocols.
• Implement routine configuration updates including field additions, page layout modifications, list views, and report/dashboard alterations.
• Assist with regular access reviews and permission audits to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Handle basic data maintenance tasks such as record updates, imports, and deduplication as instructed.
• Facilitate daily operations of the Education Cloud for functional teams, gaining knowledge of the platform's data model and student lifecycle workflows.
• Support users in navigating the Education Cloud, managing records, and reporting within recruitment and admissions workflows.
• Aid in basic configuration tasks within Education Cloud objects under the guidance of the Administrator II.
• Contribute to testing new Education Cloud features, Flows, and automation during release cycles.
• Develop a foundational understanding of the Education Data Architecture (EDA) data model and key student lifecycle objects.
• Promote CRM data quality and increase awareness of how Salesforce integrates with other institutional systems.
• Carry out assigned data cleanup, deduplication, and record hygiene tasks within Salesforce.
• Monitor integration dashboards and report any data sync discrepancies between Salesforce and connected systems to the Administrator II or data team.
• Assist in validating data accuracy across integrated systems during routine checks.
• Establish a basic understanding of how Salesforce integrates with Banner, the data warehouse, and other campus platforms.
• Maintain operational documentation and continuously develop skills within the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Engage in Salesforce Trailhead, vendor training, and community resources.
• Collaborate with functional departments to gain insight into business processes and build institutional knowledge that aids in your progression toward Administrator II.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Preferred 1–3 years of experience in Salesforce administration.
• Salesforce Administrator Certification is preferred (or to be obtained within 12 months of hire).
• Basic understanding of Salesforce data structures, objects, fields, and relationships is necessary.
• Foundational knowledge of Salesforce Flow and declarative automation concepts is essential.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Education Cloud or Education Data Architecture (EDA) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Marketing Cloud concepts (data extensions, journeys, email sends) is advantageous.
• Understanding of user access management, including profiles, permission sets, and roles.
• Strong documentation skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Awareness of higher education regulatory compliance (FERPA, GLBA) is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a growth mindset, with a genuine interest in enhancing CRM platform capabilities.
