• Facilitate engaging discussions in online classrooms and foster active student participation.

• Utilize subject-matter expertise to elucidate course concepts and aid in their practical application.

• Relate course concepts to real-world applications within the IT sector.

• Assess and grade assignments while providing timely and constructive feedback.

• Respond swiftly to student inquiries with clear and instructional guidance.

• Encourage academic success, professional communication, high standards, and student accountability.

• Track student progress and engagement, ensuring accurate and timely grades in Canvas.

• Clearly communicate course expectations, deadlines, academic requirements, and available support resources.

• Maintain consistent, professional, and supportive communication with students.

• Work collaboratively with university departments to enhance student success, accommodations, record keeping, and faculty development.

• Complete a minimum of one professional development activity for each course taught.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctoral degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer and Information Systems Engineering.

• A minimum of four years of experience teaching at the college level, including online instruction, course development, and assessment.

• At least four years of recent industry experience in IT, software development, cloud computing, or enterprise systems integration, including AI-enabled solutions.

• Capability to create an inviting, engaging, and supportive online learning atmosphere.

• Proficient in effective and compassionate communication with adult learners from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of academic preparedness.

• Ability to align academic curricula with workforce demands and industry developments.

• Competence in utilizing educational technology and learning management systems.

• Skill in interpreting student success data to enhance teaching methodologies and curricular design.

• Familiarity with contemporary productivity, data, and collaboration technologies used in business settings.
