Adjunct Faculty, Competency Based Education EdD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate doctoral courses for students enrolled in the CBE Education program.

• Oversee curricula to ensure adherence to South College standards and those of other accrediting bodies.

• Engage in course and curriculum evaluations and audits, implementing recommendations as required.

• Mentor doctoral students in a one-on-one course setting, guiding them to demonstrate their mastery of competencies through the completion of assessments.

• Ensure timely responses to all student emails and inquiries within a 24-hour period.

• Assess and grade all submissions within the designated timeframe of student submissions.

• Offer comprehensive qualitative and quantitative feedback on student work.

• Conduct proactive and reactive outreach to students via email, phone, and video conferencing.

• Maintain consistent and direct communication with students across various platforms, which is vital for the success of this role and for the doctoral students at South College.

⛳️ Requirements

• A terminal degree in Education, specifically a PhD or EdD.

• Significant experience in doctoral-level college teaching (preferably 5 years or more).

• Familiarity with online teaching modalities for doctoral students.

• Capability to design courses centered on competency-based education.

• Proficient in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

• Extensive experience with learning management systems, with preference for Canvas.

• Previous experience in evaluating and/or instructing within a competency-based education program at the doctoral level.

• Demonstrated professional leadership experience.

• Experience working with dissertation students, including serving as a dissertation Chair or Committee member.
