This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Acting as a mentor, role model, and facilitator to provide guidance and academic support for students.
• Exhibiting passion for teaching, the learning process, and individual student success.
• Applying your expertise and experience to your designated teaching schedule.
• Engaging in and contributing to assessment activities of courses, curriculum, and programs through a continuous improvement plan established by the University.
• Employing a diverse range of teaching methodologies to instruct students, with the goal of ensuring observable evidence of student achievement of designated learning outcomes.
• Maintaining active scholarly pursuits.
• Fully utilizing our cutting-edge technologies and resources, including our Simulation and Innovation Labs.
• Taking complete responsibility for students in clinical settings.
• Clarifying clinical expectations with students.
• Communicating student placement and expectations with clinical facility staff.
• Using care planning time to guide students to the necessary resources for clinical preparation.
• Evaluating student knowledge and skill levels to guarantee patient safety and optimal care.
• Utilizing pre- and post-conferences to provide students with opportunities to share learned experiences, ensuring clear connections between weekly theoretical content and clinical objectives and experiences.
• Offering immediate feedback on clinical performance following observations and overall performance assessments at midterm and the end of the semester.
• At least five (5) years of prior experience as a registered nurse delivering direct patient care.
• A minimum of three years of experience in the relevant field of instruction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other necessary MS Office products.
• Experience with online learning management systems to enhance the student learning experience.
• Adherence to state, federal, and local laws and regulations related to programs, governmental compliance, and other regulatory standards, including those set by the state Board of Nursing.
• Education and experience must be in accordance with state regulations and compliant with the guidelines of state authorization agencies.
• A Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required.
• A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD is required.
• A valid professional nurse licensure is mandatory.
