This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Recommend experience studies along with other structural, value, or methodology modifications related to assumptions for the retail block to the Assumptions Committee.

• Enhance departmental processes and analytical capabilities, including the implementation of new analytical techniques where suitable.

• Stay updated on emerging industry experiences for product features and benefits relevant to F&G inforce blocks and incorporate industry insights into the assumption review process when F&G experience is less credible.

• Engage in and leverage third-party services and surveys to enhance understanding of emerging experiences and expectations for future outcomes, particularly when F&G experience lacks credibility and future outcomes significantly affect profit emergence.

• Accountable for the creation of management reports on the inforce blocks of business.

• Collaborate with both actuaries and non-actuaries on investigations and conclusions regarding the inforce blocks.

• Identify, recommend, and seek opportunities to enhance the financial or risk position of the inforce blocks beyond the scope of renewal rate setting or repricing.

• Guide direct reports through the iterative development of reports and quantitative or qualitative investigations.

• Cultivate and foster team engagement, development, and growth.

• Promote a risk-aware culture within the team.

• Develop improvements to establish repeatable and scalable processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibilities, focusing on Individual Annuities and/or Individual Life Insurance products.

• More than 5 years of relevant experience in an actuarial product development role, financial reporting, or reinsurance function is preferred.

• ASA and MAAA certifications; FSA is preferred.
