This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Perform analysis, pricing, and risk assessments to forecast financial results in alignment with the enterprise's key Value-Based Care (VBC) initiatives.
• Utilize mathematical, probabilistic, statistical, finance, and business principles to determine financial outcomes.
• Aid in the development and enhancement of methodologies for valuation approaches that measure program effectiveness and shared savings.
• Extract, clean, and analyze intricate claims and clinical datasets to establish comprehensive valuation models.
• Ensure that cash reserves and liabilities are sufficient to cover future benefit payments.
• Identify fair methods for the allocation of funds for insurance benefits.
• Engage in merger and acquisition evaluations.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Adhere to all policies and standards.
• ASA designation is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
• At least 5 years of actuarial experience is necessary.
• Experience in government-funded healthcare, Value-Based Care analytics, or medical cost trend analysis is preferred.
• Proficiency in data extraction and modeling (SQL), advanced Excel, and R/SAS/Python is preferred.
• Experience in assessing the financial impact of clinical programs or care management initiatives is preferred.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and define undefined business challenges without a predetermined framework.
