This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of designated asset modeling processes and models, encompassing production execution, analysis, validation, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Assist in the production, validation, and analysis of asset models for asset-liability management, cash flow testing, regulatory reporting, and enterprise risk management.
• Develop, sustain, and enhance asset modeling capabilities within GGY AXIS and associated platforms.
• Conduct analysis on corporate bonds, commercial mortgages, structured securities, derivatives, and alternative investments.
• Create, validate, and analyze economic scenarios and interest-rate sensitivity measures, including key-rate duration analyses.
• Review model outputs, investigate results, and communicate significant findings.
• Collaborate with actuarial modeling, ALM, governance, and reporting teams.
• Enhance efficiency, transparency, and controls through process automation, development of analytical tools, model improvements, and methodological advancements.
• Engage in the Actuarial Student Program and student rotation program.
• A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business, or related fields, or equivalent work experience is required.
• At least 2 years of actuarial experience, or a combination of actuarial work experience and internships equivalent to this duration.
• Successful completion of 3 or more actuarial examinations.
• Experience with large datasets is essential.
• Familiarity with maintaining, enhancing, validating, and analyzing actuarial, financial, or quantitative models.
• Exposure to life insurance, asset modeling, ALM, financial reporting, or risk management concepts is preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel are necessary.
• Experience in modeling; familiarity with GGY AXIS is preferred.
• Skills in dashboarding and data visualization; Power BI experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for analytical and automation purposes.
• Ability to review model outputs, identify key drivers, and assess the reasonableness of results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Willingness to acquire new skills and accept constructive feedback.
