Accounts Receivable Supervisor – Medical Experience Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• The Supervisor of Accounts Receivable Services is tasked with overseeing and managing the daily functions of their AR team, which includes inventory oversight and staff training.

• Coordinates and monitors follow-up actions to guarantee equitable work distribution, ensuring that accounts receive prompt follow-up and that collection objectives are achieved.

• Conduct weekly quality assurance reviews of the team's output.

• Review staff productivity reports on a weekly basis.

• Update the AR Analyst with weekly productivity reports for the team.

• Assist in resolving inquiries from both external and internal clients.

• Prepare and maintain necessary reports or logs as required.

• Keep up-to-date with all healthcare-related issues and regulations.

• Identify problems and collaborate with the manager and director to resolve them.

• Provide training, monitoring, feedback, and necessary disciplinary actions.

• Uphold a professional demeanor at all times.

• Maintain confidentiality consistently.

• Monitor team attendance and paid time off (PTO) usage.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Ensure that remote client access is promptly disabled for terminated or transferred employees when applicable.

• Report any security or HIPAA violations or concerns related to the team to the HIPAA Officers in a timely manner.

• Comprehend and adhere to Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures, ensuring that all direct reports are trained and compliant at all times.

• Use, protect, and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) solely in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards and enforce this for all direct reports.

• Limit access to PHI to the absolute minimum necessary to fulfill assigned duties for the respective team.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of medical billing experience in a professional or physician office setting is required.

• At least 3 years of experience in a medical billing management position is necessary.

• Experience in Oncology billing is preferred.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Must be dependable, accountable, goal-oriented, and adaptable.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with patients, colleagues, insurance providers, hospital personnel, and clients.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

• Exceptional problem-solving and creative skills, along with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

• High integrity and dependability, coupled with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
