This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Approve Sales Orders that are synced from Salesforce, ensuring they match the order form accurately.
• Review invoices before sending them to customers, ensuring compliance with tax regulations using Avalara.
• Set up Placer as a vendor in third-party portals.
• Upload electronic invoices via customer procurement platforms such as Ariba and Coupa.
• Upload tax exemption certificates to Avalara.
• Assist with the billing email inbox, ensuring prompt responses to both internal and external inquiries.
• Resolve discrepancies in billing and invoicing as necessary.
• Prioritize collection activities to optimize cash receipts.
• Issue dunning letters for overdue accounts.
• Reach out to customers regarding overdue accounts to understand reasons for non-payment.
• Disable platform access when payment is deemed unlikely.
• Issue notifications for credit holds.
• Recommend shifting accounts to a collection agency.
• Suggest write-offs for bad debts.
• Maintain precise records of interactions with customers.
• Undertake special ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as requested.
• Collaborate with internal departments (sales operations, customer success, deal desk, etc.) to address billing and revenue-related inquiries.
• Seek opportunities to enhance or replace the Virtual Post Mail process.
• Conduct month-end reconciliation to ensure all billings are accounted for between Salesforce and Netsuite.
• Provide necessary documentation during internal and external audits.
• Assist the technical accounting/revenue team with daily activities.
• Associate's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Over 3 years of experience in collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable.
• Proficient in utilizing Salesforce and Netsuite.
• Experience with e-invoicing platforms such as Ariba and Coupa.
• Proficient with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and projects.
• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively across departments in a remote environment, accustomed to meeting deliverable deadlines.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong customer service abilities are essential.
• Understanding of the complete order-to-cash lifecycle from quote signing and contracting to collections.
